I'm going for the knockout!

Hey,

So I finally came face-to-face with Danny Garcia at today’s press conference. It was heated and tense, and as has been the case throughout this promotion his dad talked his usual smack. His team can trash talk as much as they want because like I said today I promise that he’s going to get knocked out.

I’m going in there and am determined to put on a show and unify the light-welterweight division. There are three world titles on the line and Garcia and his camp are going to see that they got it well and truly wrong about me. I know there are only a handful of fighters who train as hard as I do, everything I’ve ever earned in this sport is due to hardwork and talent.

I don’t care what comes out of his camp because at the end of the day it’s going to be just me and him in the ring. I looked him in his eyes and I can tell that there is doubt in his mind, all the talking is proof of that. I’m ready to go on Saturday night and just hope it comes around as quick as possible because I’ve never felt as good as I do now. I’ve made the weight with ease and I’ve added some real menace into my punches.

Because of how this camp has gone, I’ve worked on a lot of things that I wanted to and you’ll see exactly what I mean come fight night.  After the press conference I did my last training session with Freddie and now it’s just a case of looking forward to the weigh-in tomorrow. Like I said before making the weight isn’t a problem for me so I’m always energised and hydrated which is just the way you want to feel going into a fight.

I’ve just had my dinner for today, all organic, and I’m going to put my feet up and chill out. My dream has always been to unify this division with the best belts and on July 14th I will be able to do just that. I know what he’s going to bring to the ring but unfortunately for him I’ve got a few surprises in stall that he won’t be able to cope with.

I hope you’ve liked all the build up shows on Sky Sports, the final show Khan vs. Garcia: The Final Countdown goes out tomorrow at 6.30pm on Sky Sports 2, so make sure you tune in before the big one.

Garcia has lit the fuse so I’ll produce the fireworks on Saturday night – don’t miss it!
